BHUBANESWAR: Jayanta Kumar Das, Assistant Civil Supplies Officer, Nayagarh arrested on Sunday by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Court of Special Judge Bhubaneswar for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs.1,60,16,216.
In this connection Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.41/21 has been registered against Sri Das & his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w13(1)(b)/12 PC (Amend)Act, 2018.
On Saturday Morning, on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets by Sri Jayant Kumar Das,, ACSO, Nayagarh, simultaneous house searches were conducted by Odisha Vigilance at 5 locations. Cash Rs 2,74,075/- , 1 four wheeler and 3 two wheelers unearthed so far.
Search conducted in following locations :
(1)Four storeyed building located at Lenkudipada , Dist- Nayagarh
(2) Double Storeyed building located at Gandhisahi lane, Odagaon Dist-Nayagarh
(3) Double storeyed building located at Gandhisahi lane, Odagaon Dist- Nayagarh (adjacent to above building)
(4) single storeyed building located at native village Biruda, Dist- Nayagarh
(5) Office of Sri Jayant Das located at Nayagarh town Dist- Nayagarh
Searches led by 4 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, one SI, 4 ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
