BHUBANESWAR: Police in Capital City of Bhubaneswar on Monday faced tough time with members of Navnirman Krushak Sangathan, farmers body , started marching towards Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s residence here till, they were blocked by the security men on way.
The scuffle erupted between the members of farmer outfit and police when the farmers were stopped on their way. The agitating farmers alleged that they were forced to hit the street as they are yet to get the minimum support price of paddy. Due to alleged irregularities in paddy procurement policy, the middlemen are gaining the profits whereas the producers face loss.
