BHUBANESWAR: With Rightwing Hindu nationalists backed by Sangha Pariwar stepped up their demand to confer with any highest civilian awards to late Hindu seer Swami Laxmanananda Saraswasti, who was brutally gun down by the Church sponsored leftwing ultras in Odisha’s conversion hit tribal dominated southern district of Kandhamal decades back, the Odisha BJP has once again, has questioned the secularism concept adopted by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after the BJD Supremo paid his tribute to Mother Teresa on her Birth Anniversary on Wednesday.

“Humble tributes to Bharat Ratna #MotherTeresa on her birth anniversary. The icon of compassion dedicated her entire life for the service of sick, dying and destitute. Her unfailing commitment to serve the poorest of poor continues to inspire us,” the Chief Minister Patnaik tweeted.

    Immediately reacting to it, BJP veteran and RSS Ideologue , Sajjan Sharma wrote in a an Odia post, in which he questioned Chief Minister Patnaik’s secularism credibility. ଏହା କ’ଣ ମାନ୍ୟବରଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମନିରପେକ୍ଷ ନୀତି ?,” Sajjan Sharma wrote in Facebook post.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad had few days back, demanded that the Government make public the Justice Naidu Commission report on the killing of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati soon and take dedicated steps to nab all the murderers. The VHP placed this demand on the occasion of the sacrifice day of the Swami held here on last Friday.“Swami Laxmananada Saraswati had chosed Phulbani (now Kandhamal) district as his place of work and helped farmers and tribal people earn living. He had also established a Sanskrit School. But anti-nationals killed him on the Janmashtami Day in 2008. Buckling under pressure, the Justice Naidu Commission of Inquiry had been formed. However, its report has not been made public yet,” lamented VHP organising secretary Anandji Pandey.

Speakers attending a webinar, orgnised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha’s (RSS) medial cell Viswa Sambad Kendra, said a mass agitation would take place in the State if killers of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati are not punished appropriately soon.

The webinar titled, “Swamiji’s killing remains mystery after 12 years’, was attended by former DGP Prakash Mihsra, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha east region executive Lecturer Gopal Prasad Mohapatra and Hindu Jagaran Sammukhya East Odisha chairman senior lawyer Ajit Kumar Patnaik.  Speakers alleged that all culprits involved in the killing of Swamiji has not been brought under the investigation. The State Government is working in a planned way to protect the real offenders.
