BHUBANESWAR: The Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led BJP Government in Odisha has started acting on political appointments made during the last Naveen Patnaik Government for political rehabilitation of his BJD leaders.
The State Government on Monday sacked all political appointments under H&UD Departments including chairpersons of regional improvement trusts. This decision came following unnecessary interference of past chairpersons and some BJD leaders.
“The Government in GA and PG Department vide under letter no -18089 dated 26.06.2024 has terminated all political appionments including that of Chairpersons of Regional Improvement Trusts from the date of issue of said letter. Hence, any action , decision, taken by any politically appointed chairperson after 26.06.2024 in the Regional Improvement Trusts shall be construed to be null and void and without any authority,” Additional Secretary to Government, Housing and Urban Development Department said in a letter dated 07-12-2024, copy of the letter of which is available also with www.indianewsdiary.com
