BHUBANESWAR: BJD MP Candidates on Thursday shared their first poster after their names were announced for Lok Sabha polls, which is missing the photo of all powerful 5T-Nabin Odisha chairman VK Pandian.
Biju Babu, who was missing from BJD poster since VK Pandian, calling shots on capacity of Cabinet rank given to him by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, back again, the former IAS officer’s photo finds no place in the poster.
Such development indicated that, VK Pandian isolated within the BJD and people of Odisha are not accepting his authority.
BJD MP candidates like Pranab Prakash Das, Santupta Mishra, Rajshree Mallick and many more have shared the posters which missing photo of VK Pandian.
Formally BJD admitted that VK Pandian’s excessive dominance in BJD and Government not going well with rank and files so , the regional party has changed its strategy. BJD seems felt it well and decided to keep out VK Pandian from poster campaign.
‘Pandian photo noticeably missing from BJD campaign posters. Does this suggest a subtle change of strategy for the #Odisha ruling party ? An admission that the publicity drive to prop up Pandian as the second-most imp. leader after Naveen Patnaik is only angering Odias?, said senior Journalist, Ruben Banerjee.
Earlier, BJD leaders used to carry VK Pandian’s photo in their campaign posters while this time, there was a change noticed since BJD-BJP alliance talked failed.
‘Pandian’s absence from BJD campaign posters possibly indicates a change in ploy. Till recently, Pandian was everywhere – fm posters to banners and public rallies,’ Banerjee , who wrote a book on Naveen Patnaik , said.
