Naveen Patnaik’s “I am there For You” Missive Boosted Morale of BJD’s Rank and Files, says Bobby Das

BHUBANESWAR: BJD General Secretary(Organisation) and Minister maker Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das alias Bobby, on Saturday highlighted how their Party Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik continued to maintain a very simple life and always stood by the party workers by saying “ I am there for you,”.

Das was addressing party workers at State Party headquarters here on occasion of 24th Foundation Day, where Chief Minister Patnaik joined it from Naveen Niwas through video conference. “He has nothing, living in a single bedroom and rest of Naveen Niwas is being used for Government works and BJD workers,” Bobby Das said highlighting Patnaik’s simple life style. Das said, Cuttack’s Anada Bhawan, had already donated to State Government.

“Chief Minister Patnaik right from his early political life and till today, he is simple, honest, transparent and non corrupt,” Jajpur MLA Das said. When the State facing crisis in view of 1999 super cyclone, he had taken the baton of the State and because of his towering personality and love for Odisha, the State is now a happening State and BJD has its own identity in political circle, he added.

Appealing to Party leaders, Das said, at least, each and every party workers should spent 2 to 3 hours for party work , so that this movement will to each house of the State making the dreams of late Biju Patnaik materialised under the unquestionable leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

“No household, no state, no country has progressed without empowering its women. From now on, in every session of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Legislative Assembly, BJD will raise the women’s reservation issue and remind national parties about their promises,” Chief Patnaik said his address later. “I am confident that the mothers and sisters who run their households so efficiently will run the Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad with equal competence,” Naveen  said quoting late Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.“Mothers are the Axle of wheel in the society. Without their progress, the chariot can never move forward,” he added.

Patnaik said, “Biju Babu had scripted history by giving 33% reservation for women in Panchayatiraj, urban bodies and government jobs. The ruling BJD based on ideology of Biju Babu has made 50% reservation for women in Panchayat and urban bodies. Moreover, the party has been fighting to give 33% reservation to women in Assembly and Parliament as the party believes in action not in words,” adding “BJD is the only political party in the country that had given 33% tickets to women in 2019 general elections.”Targeting the national parties, Patnaik said that the slogan for women empowerment is only confined to their speech during election rallies. After elections, the national parties forget to meet their commitments.
