BHUBANESWAR: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha seems, taken a strong note of Naveen Patnaik led Odisha Government’s helping hand to Missionary of Charity after the Union Government imposes restrictions on financial transactions of the organisation.
The RSS’s 3 frontal organisation, Viswa Hindu Parisha(VHP), Banabasi Kalyan Ashram(BKA) and Hindu Jagaran Samukhya(HJS) , on Wednesday knocked the doors of State Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and handed over a memorandum registering its protest.
The RSS backed outfits, alleged that such move of the Odisha Government was anti-Hindu and intended to appease the minority. The RSS backed organisations termed the move as unconstitutional and uncalled for.
They alleged that such move of State Government may instigate communal agony among Hindus. They alleged that a huge number of applicants waiting for help from CMRF while the Chief Minister is busy in transferring it to Missionary run outfits for his vested interest and vote bank politics.
VHP State Vice-President Dr Prafulla Kar, State Organising secretary Ananda Kumar Pandey, HJS State president Ajit Patnaik , BKA State general secretary Chandrakant Nath were among those in the delegation, met Prof Lal and sought his intervention.
Recently, Odisha chief minister Patnaik had sanctioned ₹79 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) as assistance to the Missionaries of Charity (MoC). More than 900 leprosariums and orphanages in the will benefit from this decision,” the CMO had said.
