BHUBANESWAR: With a male aged 40, from Bhadrak, who was a West Bengal returnee, was on Friday morning found COVID-19 positive taking the State’s tally to 90 while putting the entre Naveen Patnaik led Government in hurry.

The Patnaik Government, which has been successfully containing the outbreak of the dreaded disease, put in back foot with reports from huge positive cases from districts like Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur.

The Chief Minister Patnaik, has already deputed 3 senior IAS officers Sushil Kumar Lohani, Suresh Kumar Vashisth and Dr Pramod Kumar Meherda to man these districts but with regular reports of positive cases from these areas, have started giving sleepless nights to State Government’s spin doctors.

Government has  completely  Shut Down these 3 districts for 60 hours from 10 PM on 23 April to 26 April 10 AM. Borders with West Bengal have been completely sealed and State Police has been asked to enforce the Shut Down in these Districts.

A similar complete shutdown imposed earlier in Bhubaneswar for 48 hours in the first week of this month had yielded good results for which no Covid case has been detected from the state capital since April 14.
