Naveen Patnaik launches Smart Phone distribution in Malkangiri’s Swabhiman Anchal

BHUBANESWAR/MALKANGIRI:  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched smart phone distribution programme for families of Swabhiman Anchal of Malkangiri district. To take benefits of digital revolution to last mile and expedite social security schemes, three more 4G mobile towers will be installed taking the total to seven.

CM said that Swabhiman Anchal is always in his heart and efforts will continue to make it a developed region. CM said that he had announced ₹100 Cr special packaging under SETU scheme while inaugurating Gurupriya Bridge in 2018, which has been increased to ₹215 Cr.

On this occasion, CM urged red rebels to stop violence, return to mainstream & help in development work. CM highlighted several ongoing development works including health, education, connectivity, drinking water, irrigation, housing, electricity, livelihood programmes.

The projects include 11 KV 3 phase line connection, construction of concrete roads, 78 km of paved roads & 7 bridges with an investment of ₹100 Cr. Steps are being taken to boost income of farmers through cultivation, processing and branding of turmeric of Swabhiman Anchal.

A mega pipe drinking water supply project worth ₹20 Cr has started while construction of 250 tube wells have been completed. 43 lift irrigation projects, 419 cluster deep bores to be completed with ₹32 Cr and work in 82 Anganwadi Centres, health and sub centres to be completed soon.
