Naveen Patnaik inaugurates 3 Power Projects worth Rs 82 Crore for Kalahandi

BHUBANESWAR/BHAWANIPATNA: Chief Minister  Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated 3 power projects to supply reliable power to Jayapatna, Koksara & Kalampur blocks in Kalahandi district with plans to expand to other regions in future. The projects will benefit 30,000 familes including farmers, women & students in the district.

These projects include a 220/132/33KV grid substation at Baner built at a cost of ₹ 82 crores & 33KV feeder lines from Baner to Ladugaon & Badkutru. Residents of the district will now directly receive the electricity generated from Indravati Power Project.

Another 47km 132KV double circuit will be connected to Junagarh in future. CM Patnaik highlighted that mega irrigation project, up-gradation of Bhawanipatna College into university, new Govt Medical College and Biju Expressway will further transform development landscape in Kalahandi.
