BHUBANSWAR/NEW Delhi:Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday said that coordinated effort and planning brought home three lakh Odias by Shramik Special Trains. These trains have completed 200 journeys, the CMO tweeted on Sunday. The Odias were stranded in other states due to national lockdown.
The chief minister said that the returnees are screened for symptoms, provided food, and sent to their districts to undergo mandatory quarantine. The CM in his tweet said: “With coordinated effort & planning, the returnees are screened for symptoms, provided food & sent to districts to undergo mandatory quarantine.”
The Indian Railways has been running Shramik Special Trains from May 1 for the movement of migrants, pilgrims, students, tourists, and others who are stranded at different places because of COVID-19 lockdown.
