Naveen Patnaik Condemns IED Attack: Odisha on High Alert following Maoists Mayhem in Chhattisgarh killing 11 Security Men

BHUBANESWAR:   Odisha Police on Wednesday put 3 districts Malkangiri, Koraput and Bargarh on high alert following Maoists attack in neighbouring Chhattisgarh killing 11 security men.

Odisha Police along with Central Forces stationed in the State has started Combining operations in these 3 districts to check cross border infiltration following the attack.

11 Security men killed in Naxal attack in Dantewada of  Chhattisgarh  .IED attack on a vehicle carrying DRG (District Reserve Guard) personnel near Aranpur in Dantewada district, sources said adding the  IED was planted by naxals.

‘Strongly condemn the cowardly IED blast carried out by Naxals killing so many policemen in #Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Salute to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives. Condolences to the bereaved families of the bravehearts & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,’ Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.

‘I am deeply grieved at the ghastly Naxal attack in Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) in which many of our bravehearts have lost their lives.I strongly condemn this dastardly attack, the perpetrators shall be made to pay for it.My heartfelt condolences and prayers with the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.Om Shanti,’ BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Jay Panda said in a tweet.
