BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was on Wednesday appreciated the contribution of Odisha Mining Corporation in fight against COVID-19“Strengthening Odisha’s fight against #COVID19 further, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited has contributed ₹250Cr to #CMRF. State owned Odisha Mining Corporation on had Tuesday donated Rs 250 crores to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). OMC had earlier donated Rs. 500 crores to the CMRF in March 2020 to support the State Government’s efforts to control the pandemic.OMC Chairman and State Home Secretary, Sanjeev Chopra, Managing Director OMC R Vineel Krishna handed over the cheque to Chief Secretray Asit Tripathy at Lok Seva Bhawan here.
The State-owned entity had also transferred Rs. 250 crores as the interim dividend for the Financial Year 2019-20.This is apart from the Rs 100 crores already contributed to CMRF in February 2020. The Corporation is also funding 10 stand-alone Covid-19 Hospitals in 8 districts across the state.
