BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: With Central Hall of Parliament , is all set host the Swearing-in Ceremony for the Country’s top post, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met President-elect Draupadi Murmu on Sunday in New Delhi along with BJD MPs. The Chief Minister will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Murmu on Monday.
Odisha CM congratulated President Murmu on a thumping victory in the President Election and wished her all the best ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.
“I am pleased that the daughter of Odisha like her has been chosen to be the President of India”, said the Chief Minister after meeting Draupadi Murmu at her residence in New Delhi. BJD MPs, Pinaki Mishra, Chandra Sekhar Sahu, Anubhav Mohanty, Muna Khan, Sujeet Kumar , Dr Achtuta Samant, Bhartuhari Mahatab, Rajashree Mallick, Manas Mangaraj, Pinaki Mishra, Dr Amar Patnaik, Mahesh Sahu and others were among those present.
President-elect Droupadi Murmu will be sworn in as President of India in the Central Hall of Parliament at 10:15 AM tomorrow.The Ceremony of assumption of Office by ShrimatiDroupadiMurmu, the President-elect will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:15 AM in the Central Hall of Parliament House in New Delhi.
The Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of India, the Speakerof the Lok Sabha, Members of the Council of Ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Members of Parliament and principal Civil and Military Officers of the Government of India will assemble in the Central Hall for the Ceremony.
The President and the President-elect will arrive in the Central Hall in a ceremonial procession. The President–elect will take the Oath of Office in the presence of the Chief Justice of India, followed by a 21-Gun Salute.
The President will then deliver an address. On the conclusion of the Ceremony in the Central Hall, the President will leave for Rashtrapati Bhavan where an Inter-Services Guard of Honour will be given to her in the Forecourt and courtesies will be extended to the outgoing President.
