BHUBANESWAR: After the first IAS reshuffle in BJP Government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Odisha, senior Babus and IPS officers those who got unwarranted patronage during last Naveen Patnaik led Government, virtually run by his trusted man VK Pandian, now started counting their days.
At least 3 IAS officers considered close to Naveen Patnaik and VK Pandian, were on Wednesday posted in insignificant positions raising fear for others those who blindly put their weight behind the Tamil Nadu born former IAS officer Pandian and his boss Patnaik , violating all norms and rules meant for civil servants.
After R Vineel Krishan, G Mathivathanan, Vishal Dev, considered close to BJD, shunted out from lucrative positing and given unimportant Department while now eyes on senior IAS officers like Vir Vikram Yadav, Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh , IPS officers Roopa Sahoo, her IPS Hubby , Anup Sahoo, senior IPS DS Kutey, Ashish Singh, those are serving in a single position for a long time ranging from 6 to 7 years.
Some like Roopa Sahoo posted in CMO since 2017 and she already in 7 years in that post while IPS Hubby , Anup Sahoo has been in Bhubaneswar since past 7 to 8 years while he was not shifted from State Capital since long. IPS officer DS Kutey, who was a Special Secretary in CMO, had come under scanner of Election Commission of India for his dubious role during the last Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha , even Kutey was shifted to New Delhi and remained there till end of the last phase of voting. Another IPS Officer Ashish Singh also came under scanner for furnishing fake medical report to avail leave to help BJD during last elections. Singh is now IGP CM’s Security.
DK Singh in Steel and Mines Department as Additional Chief Secretary, he got promoted from Principal Secretary to ACS in the same department, which hit headlines for Odisha Mining Scam worth over Rs 60,000 Crore.
Vir Vikram Yadav , was a key man for VK Pandian for Shree Mandir Parikrama Project in Puri and all works executed under this project was closely monitored by him. Yadav also heads Works Department and few others since long. These officers were more or less part of VK Pandian’s Palace Politics.
