Naveen launches ‘Mo Sarkar’, talks to 8 in Day-1

BHUBANESWAR: As many as 8 persons both at Capital Hospital and Sahid Nagar Police Station have talked with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after the much talked about ‘ Mo Sarkar’ initiative launched here on occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji. Patnaik also launched the logo and preamble of the Mo Sarkar programme.Worth mentioning, the CM had announced this programme on Independence Day this year.

 ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative will run under the State government’s 5T programme.The ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative was launched at all the police stations, 21 district headquarter hospitals and medical colleges and hospitals in Cuttack, Sambalpur and Berhampur.

The programme will be effective at all the district headquarter hospitals of the State by October-end. Also, all the departments will implement the programme by March 5, 2020.

Under this programme, the government will collect feedback on behaviour and professionalism of government officers. The CM, different ministers and DGP and secretary and directors of different hospitals will call numbers collected randomly for feedback.

Phone numbers of people who are visiting different government offices will be registered and an SMS will be sent to their numbers within 24 hours. If the SMS is not received or the number is not registered, the concerned person can give a miss call to 14545 and get his/her number registered.

The identity of the person giving negative feedback will be kept secret, said officials. In fact ‘Mo Sarkar’ is turning into an institution, thanks to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, whose Office is hyperactive to make it a success.
