BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmedra Pradhan and BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda on Thursday condoled the death of Ganjam’s Sanakhemundi King and former MLA, Uday Narayan Dev, who passed away at the age of 88.
He was elected MLA three consecutive times in 1974,1977 and 1980 from Mohana Assembly constituency. He built a bird museum to train youths in ornithology as a part of his ‘Project Vihanga’ in Chilika. He has also been honoured with the Biju Patnaik Award for Wildlife Conservation for his contribution to avian research and conservation as well as popularisation and Doctor of Science degree by the OUAT.
“ମୋହନା ନିର୍ବାଚନ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ପୂର୍ବତନ ବିଧାୟକ ଉଦୟ ନାରାୟଣ ଦେବଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted @Naveen_Odisha.
“ମୋହନା ନିର୍ବାଚନ ମଣ୍ଡଳିର ପୂର୍ବତନ ବିଧାୟକ ଡଃ ଉଦୟ ନାରାୟଣ ଦେବଙ୍କ ବିୟୋଗ ଖବର ଶୁଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ ଓ ମର୍ମାହତ । ସେ ଜଣେ ବିହଙ୍ଗ ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞ ଭାବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବେଶ୍ ପରିଚିତ ଥିଲେ ।ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କର କୃତିତ୍ୱ ଚିର ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ହୋଇ ରହିବ।ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗକୁ ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ଦିବଙ୍ଗତ ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରୁଛି ।,” Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted @dpradhanbjp.
