BERHAMPUR/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s home turf southern district of Ganjam was on Friday got a COVID-19 Hospital with State Government opening a 200-bedded standalone COVID hospital operational in Sitapalli area of the district.
The hospital was inaugurated by Chief Minister Patnaik through video conference. With this, the state has total nine COVID-19 hospiatals operational in the state.
“Commend @Ganjam_Admin for readying a 200-bed #Odisha Covid Hospital with 15 ICU beds in Berhampur. Appreciate @TataSteelLtd for the support and setting up stand alone hospital in record time. #OdishaFightsCorona,” Naveen twitted.
The hospital has separate isolation ward and general COVID ward, 15 ICU beds with ventilators and will soon have five more ICU beds in next 10 days.
The facility is funded by TATA Steel and managed by Tata Steel Medical. The hospital will be manned by doctors, staff nurse, technicians from MKCG College and Hospital.
