BHUBANESWAR/JAJPUR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was on Tuesday announced that the fighters of COVID-19 will be covered under Rs 50 lakh Insurance. The Chief Minister Patnaik also announced that any misbehaviour with doctors, health workers and nurses will be trailed under National Security Act(NSA).
Meanwhile, as many as 22 healthcare workers including doctors and paramedical staff, who came in contact with recent COVID-19 positive cases in the district, have been quarantined or isolated.These medical staff includes three doctors, 19 nurses and paramedic staff, informed Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das.
Odisha has reported 79 positive cases of which majority of the cases- were reported from State Capital Bhubaneswar.
However, healthcare workers didn’t come in direct contact with all these cases. Only a few persons, who had gone to multiple hospitals to report about regular cough, flu, pneumonia or any other respiratory or chest diseases and later they tested positive for COVID-19, came in direct contact with healthcare workers.
