BHUBANESWAR: On Thursday, Narendra Chandrakar, OSD, Revenue Section, Collectorate, in Nuapada has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe Rs.30,000/- as 1st instalment of overall demand of Rs 46,000/- from a Complaint for processing Settlement Revision File and issuance of ROR.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No. 08/2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
In another case, Manas Ranjan Behera, CTO & GST Officer, Enforcement Unit, in Puri, has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe of Rs. 30,000/-from a Complainant to release his detained vehicle.
In this connection, Vigilance Cell PS Case No.4/2024 U/s 7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
