NaPa-VKP Magic: 22 Departments comes under 5T, 74 Dismisses, 15 given Compulsory Retirement So Far

BHUBANESWAR: The 5T Secretary and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Private Secretary V Kartikeyan Pandian it seems, day by day getting more power and influence with BJD Supremo brought so far as many as 22 Departments to function under the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative.

On Monday, Chief Minister Patnaik, inducted Water Resources, Cooperation, Fisheries & ARD, Social Security & EPD and Textiles Handloom and Handicrafts in Mo Sarkar.

The less spoken Chief Minister Patnaik however attributed, “People are the life force of a democratic system. Government is a reflection of the will of people which is constituted to meet their aspirations. All the five Ministers of the departments that were included also spoke on the occasion.

The surprise and spontaneous visit of the Tamil Nadu born Odisha cadre IAS officer to several Government establishments’ has really activated the administration.

The renovation and development works being carried out for Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri, Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, Maa Tara Tarini in Berhampur, Maa Samaleshwari in Sambalpur, Lord Baladev Jew in Kendrapara has gone well with the people of Odisha while the recent funding for minority institutions also brought smile among Muslims and other minority communities in the State.

Continuing its ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy on corruption and negligence in duty, the Naveen Patnaik led BJD Government in Odisha , which has been trying hard through a newly designed Department called 5T, few days back had dismissed as many as 6 officials and given 2 officials voluntary retirement.

With this, the CM had so far dismissed 74 Government officials and gave compulsory retirement to 15 officers from August last year, said a statement issued by the Chief Minister Office (CMO).

The six officials include Sudhir Kumar Brajendra Narayan, former Chief Engineer and MD of OBCC; Arun Charan Parida, OBCC Senior Project Manager; Pramod Behera, retired Assistant Engineer of Rural Development Kamakshyanagar Sub-Division; Brajasundar Pattnaik, retired Assistant Engineer of Rural Development, Puri; Khageswar Swain, retired Executive Engineer, Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC); and Bibekananda Mohanty, retired Superintending Engineer Roads and Building Division, Sambalpur .

Besides, Patnaik gave compulsory retirement to two other officials on graft charges. They are Revenue Inspector (RI) Iswari Prasad Purohit of Koksara Tehsil in Kalahandi and RI Arun Kumar Purohit of Biramaharajpur Tehsil in Sonepur district.
