BHUBANESWAR: Sridhar Patra , CMD CPSE, NALCO under the Ministry of Mines, on Friday flagged off an Awareness Marathon on occasion of World Cancer Day and urged citizens and participants to join the global fight against cancer.
A function was held at City based Apollo Cancer Centres here, where several health professionals and cancer experts joined.
NALCO CMD Patra also stressed on need to educate people about Cancer care & its early detection so that we can win over Cancer, together.
Sudhir M Diggikar, Central Region CEO of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited.Dr. Alok Srivastava, Director Medical Services cum Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar and consultants of Apollo Cancer Centres were present during the programme.
World Cancer Day is an International Day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.
