NALCO CMD Condoles the Death of Former Samaj Editor Manorama Mohapatra

BHUBANESWAR: Sridhar Patra, Chairman cum CMD of Bhubaneswar Headquarters’ CPSE Navaratna, NALCO, under the Ministry of Mines, on Saturday evening  deeply condoled the death of noted writer, social activist and former Editor of Samaj, Odia Daily, Manorama Mohapatra.

Mohapatra passed away on Saturday evening. She was 87. She was honoured with Sahitya Academy Award in 1984, Soviet Nehru Award in 1988, Critic Circle of India Award in 1990, Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Samman in 1991 and Rupambara Award in 1994.

“Extremely saddened at the demise of the legendary  Litterateur, Editor and Social activist Manorama Mohapatra. She has left behind a void which will be difficult to be filled,” CMD-NALCO tweeted @CMDNALCO.
