BHUBANESWAR: Long wait will be over soon. Kendrapara will soon see a multi-specialty hospital. A detailed discussion held between Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Lok Sabha MP Baijayant Jay Panda here at Lok Seva Bhawan on Monday. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, ACS to CM NK Dhal and other seniors officers were among those present.
The hospital is expected to house several departments, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and more, equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and staffed by experienced healthcare professionals.
BJP MP Baijayanta Panda said “This multi-specialty hospital will be a game-changer for Kendrapara. It will not only improve access to quality healthcare but also reduce the financial burden and travel time for patients and their families.”
A voluntary organization has moved a proposal to set up a charitable multi-specialty hospital in Kendrapara. It has sought a piece of land for the proposed hospital, said the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a statement today.
The state government is mulling to construct a barrage on Luna river in Kendrapara to protect the flood-prone areas of the Garadpur and Pattamundai blocks in the district, added the CMO.
Similarly, the state government has initiated process for the establishment of a logistics park and cold storage facility in Kendrapara.
The government is committed to develop eco-tourism facility at Dangamal and ensure proper infrastructure at the Buddhist sites of Lalitgiri to attract more visitors, said the CMO.
The district administration is also taking steps to expedite drinking water and other projects in Kendrapara.
The Chief Minister today discussed the issues pertaining to the developmental projects in Kendrapara with MP Baijayanta Panda.

We held extensive discussions on key issues concerning Kendrapada and Odisha’s overall development. With the double engine government’s commitment, we are determined to accelerate growth, ensure last-mile delivery of welfare schemes, and realize the vision of a developed Odisha,” MP said in a X post.
