Moved by CM’s Appeal, Odisha Police Escorts 29 Medical Oxygen Tankers in 2 Days

BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: With able DGP Abhay and his energetic team of senior IPS officers taking the lead, Odisha Police missing no stone unturned to fulfil the expecations of Chief Miister Naveen Patnaik , who promised to supply medical oxygen to several States.

In last two days 29 tankers/containers carrying about 510 MT medical oxygen have been dispatched under police escort to UP, MP, Delhi, Haryana, Maharastra, Telengana, Andhra and other needy states. 15 more are leaving from Dhenkanal, Rourkela and Angul today. Odisha Police has formed a dedicated Corridor for speedy movement so as to serve thousands of needy patients in various states without delay.

Based on the directive of  Chief Minister, the Special Cell formed under  Y K Jethwa, ADG (L&O) as the Nodal Officer, is coordinating various actions for prompt loading and transportation of medical oxygen by Odisha to States facing deficit. District SsP/DCsP and Range DIG/IG/CP are supervising the movement personally within their jurisdictions.
