He further said that history is like a mirror. No nation can see the future without remembering its history. The history of the Kalinga War organized in Odisha is also in other countries. Historical places like Bhimmandal near Nakati Deul, Tirtol region of Jagatsinghpur district are evidence that it is connected with ancient human civilization. The construction style of Puri Shrimandir, Konark Sun Temple, Lingaraj Temple is a reflection of the scientific thinking and social system of our Odia nation. Odisha language and literature also have a long history. Siddha Balaram Das’ Lakshmi Purana is one of the symbols of women empowerment. There is an underlying scientific, social and economic philosophy at the root of all these systems and literature. Odisha will complete 100 years of its formation as an independent linguistic state in 2036. The country will celebrate the centenary of independence in 2047. Our goal is to prioritize our history and present everything to the younger generation based on research and data through the Odisha Research Center.
Odisha is a state of immense potential. The need of the hour is to create a New Age Economy in Odisha in the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Every district of our state has maintained its unique identity in terms of education, heritage, art, culture, history and literature. Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath is our God. Odia people are always brave. Baimundi, Dharmapada, Baji Raut have represented the sacrifice and courage of a society and the youth at times. The time has come, we have to dream big. The Union Education Minister expressed his opinion that today’s MoU is a welcome step in this direction to utilize all the potential of Odisha through research.
