BHUBANESWAR: BJP on Thursday said, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been kept under custody. After watching many incidents happening in the last few days and the videos taken by the Chief Minister’s own team BJD on social media, it is clear how the Chief Minister is being presented to the people.
‘ He is an extraordinary person’, senior BJP leader Samir Mohanty while addressing a press meet along with Party’s Chief Spokesperson, Sajjan Sharma, Media Coordinator Sujit Das and Spokesperson Diliip Mallick, said.
Mohanty said, Patnaik has been in charge of the state for a long time as Chief Minister. After watching the videos, questions are raised in the minds of the people of the state and it is felt to be a sensitive issue. The people of Odisha have seen the video of the chief minister wearing a lungi and holding a sign of Jodi Shankh(Double Conch) campaigning for his party to vote for Jodi Shankh. He also preached BJD party by saying that Tamil Babu is coming next to him wearing a paint and shirt.
The manner in which the Chief Minister is being presented to the orthodox people has made the people of the state sad. In another video, the Tamil Babu is asking questions and the Chief Minister is answering. The people of Odisha know Naveen Babu’s behavior, but Naveen Babu will never call his opponents thieves and thieves. The most surprising thing is that the Chief Minister’s video has “fun music”. This is very unfortunate. It is clear from such activities that the Chief Minister has been kept “hostage”. In the interest of the larger state, the BJP is demanding to release the chief minister as soon as possible, Mohanty said.
Odisha Chief Minister being held hostage is a matter of concern for the people of the state. Former Private Secretary to Chief Minister V.K Pandian, despite the fact that there is enough evidence that Pandian has completely taken her hostage, the state administration is not taking any strong action in this direction, and public dissatisfaction is increasing.
The situation has become so alarming that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswasharma and Union Minister Giriraj Singh have been forced to express their concerns on this issue. The video messages of Chief Minister and Pandian circulated on social media by BJD appear to be like EO videos. In the said videos, the Chief Minister’s words seem to be speaking to “parrots in a cage”. BJP humbly appeals to all the media representatives of Odisha that they should also jointly put pressure on the administration to release the Odisha Chief Minister. We hope that the chief secretary and the director general of police will take such a sensitive matter seriously, Mohanty added.
