BHUBANESWAR: The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly, on Saturday began here.Newly-elected speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha presided over the house while Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik virtually joined.
The session will be held in two parts with the first one from July 2 to July 6 and the second from July 16 to August 4.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full-fledged budget for financial year 2022-23 on the first day of the session.
Earlier, the Government had presented an interim budget (vote-on-account) for 2022-23 in March this year.
The duration of the business hour of the Assembly during this session has been increased by an hour each day. The House will now function for six hours daily. The post-lunch session will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Meanwhile, BJP has not named new Opposition Leader despite earlier talks about it
