BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Mohammed Aleem, a Young Entrepreneur face from Cuttack city, has been appointed as State Vice-President of Odisha Youth Congress. Aleem, who is a family relative of Cuttack Barabati Congress MLA Mohammed Moquim, will now oversee Youth Congress affairs in Odisha along with State President Smruti Ranjan Lenka and other 7 Vice-Presidents.
The new VP of Odisha Youth Congress, Aleem thanked AICC top brasses Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, AICC Odisha In Charge Dr Chellla Kumar, OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV, IYC National General Secretary in Charge of Odisha, Pratibha Raghuwanshi and National secretary Md Riyazul Ansari for bestowing faith on him.
The youth wing of Odisha Congress has declared its new state committee with 8 Vice-Presidents, including Md Aleem. The new Committee also has 58 Secretaries and 8 District Presidents. The appointment came into effect after the approval of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Joint Secretary Krishna Allavaru and Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV. “ I am confident that the new team will work hard and devote their full time to further strengthen the party’s base under the dynamic leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” said Aleem.
Md Aleem is presently CEO – Metro Builders, Hotel Presidency and Presidency Resorts. He holds a Civil engineering degree and brings with him vast knowledge and Expertise in Business Management. In fact, he has been involved in the business since his college days. Primarily he has been responsible for the Hospitality arm of Metro Group. His key role is management of hotels under Metro Group. Md. Aleem is also active in politics and was earlier handling the youth congress unit of Cuttack.
