BHUBANESWAR:The resolution is like a Gita for us. We are committed to fulfilling all the promises made in the resolution during the last general elections of 2024. In just 19 months, we have fulfilled more than half of the promises we made and will fulfill the remaining promises in due time. After the people of Odisha accepted that resolution, the party formed the government alone in the state.
We have got the opportunity to serve with the blessings of the people of Odisha. Development work has started at a rapid pace to make Odisha a prosperous state by 2036. On the other hand, the BJD has now become a laughing stock, unable to bear the progress of Odisha. Even though the BJD was in power for 24 years, it was not sincere about the development of Odisha and instead of fulfilling the promises they made, they had been deceiving the people of the state for years, which they have now forgotten. It is true that they have forgotten it, but the people of Odisha have not forgotten it, said State General Secretary Shri Biranchi Narayan Tripathi.
Regarding the BJD’s allegations, Mr. Tripathi said that it is the character of BJD to mislead the people of Odisha. Before giving a speech, BJD leaders forget their past. How can BJD MPs forget the answer to the question of the then Congress MLA Shri Kailash Chandra Kuleshika in the Odisha Assembly on April 12, 2018 on the issue of special statehood for Odisha.
The then Planning and Development Minister Smt. Usha Devi had replied on behalf of the then Chief Minister that Odisha did not meet the criteria required to get special statehood. If BJD MPs are not able to understand this, it is very funny and unfortunate.
Similarly, efforts have been made to distract Odisha once again by making negligent remarks in the central budget. Before saying anything on an important issue like the budget, one should study. A developing state like Odisha will benefit the most from the current budget. While only a few states have been given permission to build National Waterway-5, Odisha has found a place among them.
This will make the state industrial and mineral rich. The proposed high-speed rail corridor from Dankuni in West Bengal to Surat in Gujarat is also being passed through Odisha. The current budget has provided 13 times more money than the amount of money that was available in the railway budget before the BJP government came to power in 2014. An expenditure of about Rs 11,000 crore has been made in the current budget. Currently, railway projects worth more than Rs 90,000 crore are underway in the state. Declaring a dedicated rare earth corridor (rare earth elements) – a high-tech hub is a great success for Odisha. In the future, this will create new employment opportunities in the industry. The new budget will improve the cultivation of coconut and cashew in Odisha. The Defense Department will set up a warship manufacturing plant in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. This will bring more investment to Odisha. But the BJD cannot accept this, said Mr. Tripathi.
On the other hand, BJD workers and leaders are losing trust and leaving the party every day. Many leaders of their party are involved in civil war. Due to this, BJD leaders are probably forgetting to study the budget or other issues and are making such baseless statements. While the people of Odisha have already rejected BJD, due to such baseless statements, 4.5 crore Odisha people will completely shun them in the coming days, said Mr. Tripathi.
