BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: The BJP Bhubaneswar MP and National Spokesperson, Aparajita Sarangi has met with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and successfully got approval for 2 Railways projects for Capital City.
The projects approved and work will start soon for upgradation of Lingaraj Passenger Halt in Ekamra into a Railway Station and redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station.
“Glad to inform that two requests of mine have been allowed-A)Upgradation of Lingaraj Passenger Halt in Ekamra into a Railway Station.B)Redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station.Had been pursuing the matter.Work will commence soon.Grateful to Minister@AshwiniVaishnaw,” the BJP MP tweeted after meeting Railways Minister Vaishnaw.
Earlier, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari had approved three key proposals for Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi met Gadkari in Delhi and presented the proposals before him.
Following the meeting, she informed that all the projects have been approved by the Minister.
“These are a Flyover at Cosmopolis Square, and two foot-over bridges near Hotel Crown and Satsang Vihar. Besides, the Capital Region Ring Road proposal has also received the Union Minister’s nod,” said Sarangi.
The 111.2-km CRRR is proposed to be developed as 6-lane carriageway including a major six-lane bridge over river Mahanadi.
