BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: A tweet by late PM Rajiv Gandhi’s Biographer, Minhaz Merchant has created a lot of political waves among aspirants for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet or a Rajya Sabha berth. The tweet got 7.7 Thousands like in 12 hours with 339 comments and 2.2 thousand re-tweets.Merchant in his tweet accused BJP of not using best talents it has to command the narrative across issues — farm laws, Covid, O2, global misreporting.
Citing cases of BJP National VP In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda, who is also a 4th times former MP, from Odisha and successfully ensure BJP led NDA bounced back to power in Assam and as a result of which Hemanta Biswa Sharma of the Saffron Party took oath as new Chief Minister, Bibek Debroy, Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sanjay Sanyal and former Minister MJ Akbar, he said, BJP shall use these talents instead wasting it.
