BHAWANIPATNA/BOLANGIR: K Vijay Kumar, senior security advisor to Union Home Ministry on Wednesday held talks with senior police officials of Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Kumar held talks with SPs of Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund of Chhattisgarh and Bolangir, Nuapada and Kalahandi of Odisha. Besides, top officials of CRPF and BSF were also present in the meeting.
The 1975 batch IPS officer chalked out several anti-Maoists’ operations plans for bordering areas of Odisha with Chhattisgarh and also advised security forces to keep a close watch on cross border infiltration during operations.
Kumar also advised both State and Central Forces stationed in Odisha and Chhattisgarh to work united and follow SOP during anti-Maoists’ operations.
