BHUBANESWAR: Joining hands with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in State Government’s efforts to fight second surge of COVID-19, leading Odia Industrialist and Chairman MGM Minerals Ltd Pankaj Lochan Mohanty on Tuesday donated a sum of Rs 1 Crore towards Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
MGM Mineral Ltd Chairman Pankaj Mohanty, who also heads, Odisha Cricket Association, flanked by Company Director, Saroj Ray handed over the Cheque of Rs 1 Crore to Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra here.
MGM Mineral Ltd Chairman , Mohanty said that the as the Chief Minister Patnaik announced for free vaccination , as a responsible corporate house, we contributed to CMRF. “It’s our duty to standby with the State Government in this crisis,” Mohanty said. Chief Secretary Mohapatra also appreciated MGM Minerals Ltd’s timely help.
It may be noted here that in March this year, moved by the personal efforts of Chief Minister Patnaik, 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Chief Administrator Dr Krishan Kumar, MGM Minerals Ltd, Chairman Pankaj Lochan Mohanty had donated Rs 1 Crore for the development of Shree Mandira Parikrama Project of Shree Jagannatha Temple.
Pankaj Mohanty , who is also President of Odisha Cricket Association, has been continuously supporting State Government in many developmental works and his Company has been extensively doing its CSR work in the mineral and coal bearing Sundargarh-Keonjhar to Dhenkanal.
