BHUBANESWAR:Prashant Mohapatra was a self-respecting leader. He was known as an honest, hard-working young leader. This young leader of old Bhubaneswar, Prashant Mohapatra, was very close to the proverbial Biju Babu. Whenever Biju Babu gave him the responsibility, he would perform it properly. The guests expressed their opinion that he never paid attention to his own interests.

The third Shraddha anniversary organized by the Prashant Mohapatra Memorial Committee at the Geet Govinda Sadan on Tuesday was attended by the Honorable Minister of Law, Works and Excise Shriyut Prithiraj Harichandan as the chief guest and Prashant Mohapatra’s dedication and commitment is still remembered by everyone. At that time, old Bhubaneswar said that Prashant represents his sister. BJD leader Arup Patnaik joined as the special guest and said that everyone is a fighter whom Rashmi Mohapatra has brought together on this stage. Prashant Mohapatra wanted to fight like Biju Babu, he did not want donations. That is why Prashant became Biju Babu’s favorite. When discussing the era of the 1980s-90s, former MLA Parvathi Tripathi said that the development of Bhubaneswar would have been incomplete if Prashant Mohapatra had not been mentioned. Prashant Mohapatra had not gone with the flow, he had gone to the opposite shore and become a leader. At that time, Bhubaneswar was moving forward under his leadership. He said that Biju Babu had fought the first election in Bhubaneswar with Prashant. Ekamr invited Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh as the guest of honor and said that Ekamr was the sixth leader of Bhubaneswar. Singh said that if anyone considers me a political leader, it is Prashant Bhaina.
Khurda MLA Prashant Jagdeb, BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan, social worker Harapriya Panigrahi and other prominent guests attended the program as the guests of honor. The program was coordinated by former Janata Dal student leader Samarendra Sahu and presided over by the committee convener Sriharsha Hota. Rashmi Mohapatra, wife of late Prashant Mohapatra and BJP leader, was present as the committee’s office bearer. On this occasion, five people who have made a name for themselves in the fields of social service, journalism, art, and law were felicitated by the Prashant Mohapatra Memorial Committee.
