BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of India and Odisha on the occasion of the English New Year-2026. In a press release, he termed this upcoming year as a year of new possibilities, positivity and joy.
Shri Pradhan said that the year 2026 is not just a calendar change, but it is a year of new possibilities and growth for four and a half crore Odias. In the vision of ‘Developed Odisha’, 2026 will be a year of new possibilities. Therefore, we must welcome this new beginning with positive thoughts. The sun of the new year will not only rise in the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal, but will also shine in the hearts of every Odia as the sun of self-respect and a bright future.
The centenary of the formation of Odisha on the basis of language will be celebrated in 2036 and the country will complete 100 years of independence in 2047. In this immortal era, there is a need for collective efforts to make Odisha a leading state. Shri Pradhan wished everyone happiness, prosperity and health to Lord Jagannath. He prayed that with the blessings of the Lord, 2026 will be filled with laughter and happiness in every family. Finally, Shri Pradhan appealed to all the people of Odisha to unite and participate in the development of the state and the country and once again extended many good wishes for the New Year.
