MALKANGIRI/BHUBANESWAR: On basis of specific intelligence, an intensive search and area domination was conducted by Malkangiri Police & SOG in the hilly and mixed forest area of Tulsi Pahad under Mathili PS jurisdiction, resulting in uncovering of one major Maoist dump in Jajbhata area (Tulsi Pahad) between village Kirmiti and Katuapadar under Kartanpalli G.P.
This has led to recovery and seizure of huge quantity of Arms, Ammunitions, IEDs, IED making materials, uniform and other incriminating article. It is suspected that these articles were intended to maketarget to civilians and security forces.
Successive recovery of arms and explosives dump from major affected areas on basis of real time intelligence affirms faith of public and degradation of fear of naxals in the district. Such huge recovery has truly made the Republic day Celebrations more special this year. We are
suspecting that these articles belong to the Maoists cadres of DKSZC and they were intended to be used against innocent civilians and security forces to carry out their subversive, anti-national activities. In the wake of recovery, further combing and search operations are going on in this area.
