BHUBANESWAR:  BJP State president Manmohan Samal while addressing a press meet here at Party’s State Headquarters’, on Tuesday took on Leader of Oopsitions in Lok Sabha , Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on ‘Hindutva’.

State President Manmohan Samal flanked by BJP State Chief Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma, Spokesperson Biranchi Narayan Tripathy, Umakant Patnaik and Media Cell Coordinator Sujit Das, alleged that, Congress party can go to any extent and even show the country in a bad light for power.

‘Our democratic system exits because of Hindutva’ Samal said while terming Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha speech as an irresponsible statement.

The BJP State President said, the Congress leader’s statement has hurt 140 crore Indians. For BJP, it’s always nation first but the Congress party can go to any extent and even show the country in a bad light for power, he said.

In his first speech as Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi picked up the threads of his election campaign to counter the Government on several fronts: from accusing it of having created an atmosphere of fear to alleging that it had spread violence and hatred in the name of Hinduism; from the crisis in Manipur to how demonetisation had wrecked employment.
