Mancheswar P.S Case No-10, murder case of Sahadev Nayak of Kedarpalli, 5 arrested

BHUBANESWAR:   Mancheswar P.S Case No-10, dt.08.01.2025, U/s- 103(1)/3(5) BNS. DO- 08.01.2025 at 08AM DR- 08.01.2025 at 11.30 AM .

PO- NH-16 flyover, In front of La- franklin hotel, Rasulgarh, PS- Mancheswar, BBSR UPD. On 08.01.2025 at 11.30 A.M  Complainant Sunita Nayak (30), W/o- Late Sahadev Nayak of Kedarpalli, Bapujinagar PS-Capital, BBSR Dist-Khurda reported  in writing to the effect that,  on 08.01.2025  at about 08.00 AM her husband  Sahadeb Nayak was coming  from Vanibihar Over Bridge side to Rasulgarh with his Scooty bearing Regd. No.- OD-02-CX-1697. On the way two accused persons came in a Bajaj discover Motor cycle bearing Regd. No- OR19J7026 and their associates   came to the spot i.e NH-16 flyover, Infront of Lafranklin hotel, Rasulgarh, Mancheswar, BBSR and brutally assaulted the Deceased Dhega @ Sahadeb Nayak by means of sword with multiple blows and fled away from the spot leaving him dead at the spot.

2. Rocky Nayak (24), S/O- Late Rohit Nayak of Sarua Majhi sahi PS-BaghamariDist-Khurda, A/P- Sai Jagannath Hotel,near Techno College ,Patrapada PS-Khandagiri,BBSR, Dist-Khurda.
3. Lipika Nayak (32), W/O- Mantu @ Laxmidhar Nayak of Barasahi PS- Sarankul, Dist-Nayagarh, A/P- KedarpalliBasti, PHD Sahi, Bapujinagar, PS- Capital, BBSR, Dist-Khurda.
4. Lucky @ Laxmi Nayak (25), W/O- Rakesh Nayak of Elapada harijan sahi, PS-Fathegarh, Dist- Nayagarh, A/P- Kedarpalli, Bapuji nagar, PS- Capital, BBSR, Dist- Khurda.
5. Anda @ Rakesh Nayak (27), S/o- Rabi Nayak of Elapada Harijan Sahi, PS-Fathegarh, Dist- Nayagarh, A/P- Kedarpalli, Bapuji nagar, PS- Capital, BBSR, Dist- Khurda.

3. Two numbers of blood stain sword.
4. Four numbers of mobile phones of accused persons.
5. Blood stained wearing apparels of accused persons.
6. Two numbers of bags.

The incident:Due to prolonged personal enmity all the accused persons with a common intention connived and chalked out a plan on Dt.07.01.2025 evening in the house of accused Susanta Nayak at Dumduma to kill Sahadev Nayak. As per plan accused Laxmidhara Nayak and his wife Lipika Nayak in their Bajaj Discover and accused Rocky Nayak and Susanta Nayak with a Pulsar of Susanta followed Dhega @ Sahadev Nayak who was going to drop his daughter near Ram mandir. After dropping his daughter at school Sahadev proceeded towards Rasulgarh. On the way near Rasulgarh flyover all the four accused persons detained him and attacked by two swords with subsequent blows killing him at the spot.

All the four accused persons then went to Daya river and dumped the weapons there, threw the wearing apparels and fled away to Nayagarh district where the house of Lipi Nayak. Commissionerate police took quick action and apprehended five accused persons in this case.

Lipi and Laxmidhara had enmity with Sahadev as he removed them from BMC sweeper work. Rakesh and Lucky had enmity with Sahadev as the relations of Sahadev attacked Lucky about one year back. So Rakesh and Lucky planned with other accused persons to kill Sahadev.
