BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday came down heavily on Congress for keeping a mum on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s dictatorship in West Bengal and spreading mayhem by killing BJP workers. BJP councillor Manish Shukla was brutally murdered in West Bengal.
The Union Minister Pradhan’s hard-hitting statement came following several tweets of BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) , BL Santhosh and National VP Baijayant’Jay’ Panda and later a media briefing by party’s National spokesperson, Dr Sambit Patra in New Delhi, all alleged how Mamata Banerjee selectively targeting BJP workers in Bengal.
“Killing and culling democratic voices at will is all that “Didi” and her neo-nazis are good at. But, Rahul Baba and his ‘Selective Outrage Gang’ will keep silent on the killing of #ManishShukla,because for them lives do not matter if the victim does not fit in their propaganda.People now are fully aware of the farcical faces of the ‘Opposition’ and the crocodile tears they shed while feeding on people’s miseries and exploiting them for political brownies,” Dharmendra Pradhan said.
Earier, BJP National general secretary(Organisation), BL Santhosh and Party’s National VP and 4th times former MP, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda took on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for political violence in West Bengal.
“@MamataOfficial & @AITCofficial who came to power opposing the violent politics of @cpimspeak are following the same policy against @BJP4Bengal now . Wish @derekobrienmp also walks to the slain leaders home like he did to distant Hathras,” BL Santhosh tweeted@blsanthosh.
“Sri Manish Shukla , Councillor from Titagarh shot dead by miscreants carrying arms . More than 110 workers of @BJP4Bengal murdered under @MamataOfficial rule . Party stands with the family & friends at this time of grief ,” added he.
“Political violence by Bengal’s governing party continues, with the cold blooded killing of Titagarh councilor Manish Shukla. More than 110 @BJP4Bengal members have been murdered. This must be condemned by all, including so called liberals who are often selective in their outrage,” Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted @PandaJay.

Nageswara Rao re-tweeted @MNageswarRaoIPS “Having been IG, CRPF, Kolkata for nearly 3 years as In-Charge of Anti-Naxal Operations & having personally led Lalgarh Operation in 2008, I am aware how badly Bengal [especially Rural] has been traumatized by decades of violence.Mentors of Bengal became its Tormentors !!!,”
“Communists in WB resorted to violence for nearly 40 yrs to gain/retain political power.TMC threw out Commies by resorting to higher violence.As a result, the Commies & TMC destroyed WB beyond belief.For Bengal to regain its glory, it should vote massively against violence,” the former IPS officer said.
