KOLKATA/BHUBANESWAR: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee may fining it very difficult to utter the work Jai Shri Ram but the TMC Chief’s love for Lord Bishnu came to fore after servitors of 12th Century old Lord Jagannath Temple of Odisha’s Puri , performed Puja at Chief Miniser’s Kolkata residence on Friday.
Coinciding with the day of announcement of the schedule of Assembly elections in West Bengal, a group of servitors of the Puri Jagannath Temple on Friday performed a puja at Chief Minister Banerjee’s Kalighat residence in Kolkata.
The servitors’ team led by Jagannath Das Mohapatra, who plays the role of bodyguard (Badagrahi) of Lord Jagannath during the Rath Yatra, performed the rituals. Besides Didi, her nephew and Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee was also present ad they prayed for electoral victory.
In West Bengal, the first phase of the election will be held on March 27, the second phase will be held on April 1, the 3rd phase on May 2, 4th phase on April 10. The 5th phase will be held on April 17 — the 6th phase on April 22, the 7th phase on April 26 and the 8th phase on April 29.
