“Further updates on searches of Sri Ashis Kumar Dash, SE Rural Works, Malkangiri.Highest ever Cash seizure in history of Odisha Vigilance.Rs. 1.36 Crore Cash unearthed during search on SE, RW, MKG.Also 1.2 kg Gold, Rs. 4 Crores in deposits unearthed.Searches continuing,” the Vigilance said on Monday.
On March 25, at aound 2.15 PM Sri Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, Rural Works, Malkangiri has been intercepted at Malkangiri by a team of Odisha Vigilance, basing on credible information about moving with ill gotten huge cash of more than ten lakhs.
During interception Rs.10,23,970 cash found in his possession. Simultaneous search of his residential quarter, office etc. at Malkangiri is being conducted. Further report follows.
Cash Rs. 21.75 Lakhs, 602 gms gold & other incriminating documents unearthed so far. He was intercepted on 25.03.22 while carrying suspected ill gotten cash of Rs.10,23,970/.
