BHUBANESWAR: The Palace politics of Fugitive Tamil Sanyashi, VK Pandian was on Tuesday received a major jolt after the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led BJP Government in Odisha rejected the leave extension request of IAS officer Sujata R. Karthikeyan and instructed her to resume duty from tomorrow, read from Wednesday.
After refusing Karthikeyan’s request to extend her leave for an additional six months, the GA & PG Dept has ordered her to return to work tomorrow. Karthikeyan has been on a six-month leave since May 31, which concluded today.
The General Administration & Public Grievance Department approved a six-month childcare leave for Sujata R. Karthikeyan on June 7 of this year.
The officer from the 2000 IAS batch currently holds the position of Special Secretary in the Finance Department.
Previously, she served as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Mission Shakti Department. Following a directive from the Election Commission of India (ECI), she was reassigned to the Finance Department by the Odisha Government.
This move came weeks after the State Government withraw security of VK Pandian, who was provided with 2 security men even after BJD voted out of power.
