PURI: Like every year, 9 types of Services-Seva have been organized in Puri Rath Yatra by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh run Seva Bharati’s Odisha chapter, Utkal Biparnna Sayahata Samiti. On the day of the Rath Yatra, at 8:30 am, a formal inauguration ceremony was held in front of the Samiti’s primary health center near Bholanath Vidyalaya with the participation of volunteers who cooperate in the service work.
The program was inaugurated by the Sangh’s eastern sector Pracharak Jagdish Prasad Khadanga, area relations head Vidyut Mukherjee, Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Praful Kumar Mishra and Samiti President Akshay Kumar Bit by lighting the lamp.
The injured and unconscious people were admitted to the hospital, a human chain was created for the ambulance to pass through the crowd and the patients were taken to the hospital through the ambulance, the devotees who fell ill in the Baddanda were taken to the ambulance through the stretcher and immediately taken to the hospital, the injured in the hospital were taken to the doctor and on the advice of the doctor, various types of services were performed by the volunteers in a disciplined manner.
This year, the ambulance corridor, ambulance service, stretcher service, traffic service, water distribution, water irrigation, hospital service, Baddanda cleaning, and primary treatment are included. A total of 1560 volunteers are working in this. 20 people in 2 ambulances in 2 shifts to take the injured devotees to the hospital, 25 people in 2 shifts at 5 places for water distribution, 40 people in 2 shifts at 10 sprayers for water irrigation, 80 people in 2 shifts for 10 stretchers and 200 people in 2 medical centers, 200 people for cleaning the streets, 5 doctors, 2 pharmacists, 4 associates for primary care, a total of 11 people, 100 people for traffic service, 884 people were engaged for the corridor from the chariot to the medical square to facilitate the ambulance.
All these services are being held under the supervision of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, leaders Pracharak Bipin Prasad Nanda, Sahapracharak Asit Kumar Sahu, Regional Service Head Shantanu Majhi, Department Service Head Ranjan Maharana, Department Pracharak Chandrashekhar Mohapatra, Department Relations Head Bamadev Nayak, District Affairs Sarbashwar Bishoi, Utkal Biparnna Sahayata Samiti Rath Yatra Service Coordinator Rudranarayan Mohapatra.
750 devotees have been provided medical facilities on the day of Rath Yatra in primary medical services. Coordinator Rudranarayan Mohapatra has informed that primary medical services will continue till Bahuda Yatra.
Apart from this, services are also being held on behalf of the affiliated sectors of the Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharat Vikas Parishad.
