Light to Moderate Rains Likely over Odisha in next 24 Hours

BHUBANESWAR:  The India Meteorological Department  said  that a cyclonic circulation lies over west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast at 1.5 km above mean sea level, As per IMD, the trough now runs from cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood to north Chhattisgarh across south Uttar Pradesh and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places in the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places in the rest districts of the State in the next 24 hours.

The IMD had earlier predicted heavy rainfall activities in several parts of Odisha on September 2

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Baleswar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendraparda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till Sunday morning.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Baleswar and Jajpur till Monday morning.
