BHUBANESWAR: Light rain fall with chilly weather was on Friday hit normal life in several parts of Odisha,
As predicted by the Regional Meteorological Centre, several places in Odisha experienced drizzle and light rainfall early since morning.
IMD also issued thunderstorm & lightning warning for several districts including Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Angul, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Ganjam, Kalahandi & Gajapati for the next 24 hours.
Besides, thunder and rainfall alert for one or two places in Deogarh, Angul, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda districts during the afternoon has also been issued.
As per the prediction, the present weather condition will prevail in the state for the next two days. Reportedly, the rainfall in the state is a result of the trough line over Rajasthan-Chhatisgarh.
While the cold waves and chill of winter will be normalised till January 4, the mercury will drop after the rains cease in the state, sources said.
