Letter to ASI authorities for permanent conservation of Meghnad Wall

PURI: Chief Administrator of SJTA Dr Arbinda Padhee has again drawn the attention of the ASI authorities regarding the water leakage in the Meghnad wall. He has written a letter and proposed that the temple administration should take urgent steps for its repair under the guidance of ASI. Along with this, the Chief Administrator of the temple has emphasized that the ASI should conduct a scientific survey and take steps to find out the reason for the water leakage in the Meghnad wall and to permanently eliminate it.

Regarding the safety of the Meghnad wall, the Chief Administrator of the temple has written a letter to the ASI authority with letter number 17800 dated 14.12.2025. In this letter, he mentioned that last year, water was leaking from the Meghnad wall. At that time, the ASI authority was informed to take steps for its permanent repair and elimination.
At that time, the temple administration repaired it under the guidance of the ASI. But after this, water was leaking from the Meghnad wall again and some parts remained intact.
The Meghnad Wall is one of the most important and important parts of the security of the temple, so ASI has requested immediate steps to be taken for its protection, said Dr. Arbinda Padhee, the Chief Administrator of the temple, in a letter.
