NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: With BJD MPs like Dr Amar Patnaik, Dr Sasmit Patra, Anubhav Mohanty and party’s all powerful MLA Pranab Prakash Das have been demanding action against BJP National VP and in charge of Delhi and Assam Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda and his model turned media baron wife, Jagi Panda over alleged land scam at Sarua in Khurda in Odisha, the Saffron leader breaking his silence, demanded that an impartial investigation be carried out by a neutral National Agency into the irregularities committed by his Family owned companies.

“Widespread nationwide support for OTV, and outrage against the blatant, targeted harassment by the 21-year old BJD government in Odisha. Remember, 20 cases in 2 months, covering every imaginable ‘crime’ against the most viewed news channel in the state (by far), and its employees, should give you an indication about misuse of power. All this for exposing Covid corruption. Let the law take its own course, let there be impartial investigation by a neutral national agency, let the courts finally decide. Meantime, the people are speaking up,” Baijayant Panda said.

“News Broadcasters Federation (NBF) expresses deep concern and dismay over the continued harassment of the journalists, executives and promoters, journalists of our member channel – OTV, for reporting of widespread corruption in public interest. @otvnews@JagiPanda@Naveen_Odisha,” NBF tweeted @TweetsNbf.

Earlier, Odisha’s leading regional news media house OTV, owned by BJP leader Jay Panda family, had slammed the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik led State Government alleging that it has filed a streak of fake cases against it because of BJD Supremo’s  personal vendetta.

The State Government has registered a series of 20 cases against OTV in just past two months, which the OTV has called false. OTV’s managing director (MD) Jagi Mangat Panda had demanded an investigation into all the allegations by a neutral national agency in the interest of propriety and fairness.
