Legendary Artist late Muralidhar Tali remembered at SNSMT Talks

CUTTACK:   Smt Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) held its 19 May ‘24 SNSMT Talk on ‘Art is a Vehicle of Soft Power’ at it’s petite but iconic HQ at 9, Pithapur.

Noted artist and art historian Shri. Ramakanta Samantaray delivered the lecture. Legendary artist late Shri. Muralidhar Tali was remembered and his art was discussed.

SNSMT Chairman Shri. Suparno Satpathy said “ It is unfortunate that art and artists do not get their due respect and recognition”. He added “We need to understand that art is the most reliable and most effective vehicle of Soft Power. Should we as a society or a state or a nation wish to flourish, it is imperative that we realise the said as in yesterday”.

A small audience but a few who’s who were in attendance. Shri. Shyam Prasad Tali S/o Late Shri. M. Tali spoke on the  occasion and was felicitated too.  The Mother and Smt. Nandini Satpathy, two art pieces of Legendary Shri. M. Tali were on display.
