BHUBANESWAR: Backed by Modi wave, BJP Odisha is expecting to gain more this time in this State.
At least four surveys have been conducted so far. The first survey in the autumn of 2023 showed BJP would win just 8 seats in Lok Sabha and 32 seats in the Assembly election in Odisha if they went solo.
Since then, there have been at least 3 more surveys, according to the latest survey, BJP would win 17 seats in Lok Sabha and a whopping 70 assembly seats if it decided to fight solo. In 2019 , BJP had won 23 MLA seats and 8 MPs seats.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s popularity drastically came down since VK Pandian started playing greater role in BJD and as well as in Government, sources argued.
BJD-BJP alliance failed after the Saffron Party went through the reports and also able to convince its central leadership to refrain from striking any alliance with Naveen Patnaik led BJD in Odisha.
Some National media also reported about the survey. Recently, election expert Prashant Kishore too also predicted a huge surge of BJP votes in Odisha along with in West Bengal.
